About the role

The Business Systems Analyst role is primarily to solve the organisational information problems and requirements by analysing requirements, design organisational systems architectures, recommending and implementing system controls, processes and protocols. The successful candidate will have outstanding commercial analysis focus and excellent communication skills including working with the Corporate Services and Operations team to deliver an effective and efficient business platform. The role will be reporting to the CFO and COO.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and analyse the various operational areas and businesses of our organisation and assess financial and non-financial dimensions.
  • Provide analysis, information and recommendations to Executive team to support informed decision-making across the organisation.
  • Experience using medium to large integrated ERP systems.
  • Training end users in the utilisation of the systems.
  • Support the organisation in developing and implementing a practical and organisational Portfolio and Program/Project management methodology.
  • Applying problem solving skills in order to review and identify existing systems and maximise their utilisation.
  • Providing input to designing new systems and processes.
  • Work with managers to enable the implementation of changes and recommendations.

Selection criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline such as Business, Commerce and IT
  • CA/CPA qualified preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, financial modelling, graphs, charts etc.).
  • Experience in identifying Key Performance Indicators for business units building/revising an appropriate reporting framework.
  • Experience in writing business cases.
  • Experience in project management. Knowledge of the principles of project management and the ability to develop, execute, and monitor plans for small to medium scale projects.
  • Ability to assist in the development and implementation of new systems and processes.
