We are seeking people from newly arrived refugee or migrant communities who are in touch with the health needs of their own communities to provide health education and awareness programs on a casual basis. You will work with our community development workers at either our Mowbray office or our Hobart office to develop activities that will engage people from newly arrived communities.
You are well connected to your own community. You are a dynamic communicator who has a real passion or interest in seeing an improvement in health outcomes for your community. While a background in health work is not necessarily required, a reasonable knowledge of health issues and Australian health support systems would be advantageous. Basic computer skills are also well regarded.
