This newly created Melbourne-based role will takeover the reins of what has historically been a highly visible & successful community fundraising practice, nationally. Reporting into the GM of Marcomms & Business Development, you will be a key and integral member of a highly effective and sophisticated fundraising division. As the Community Fundraising Specialist, you will be responsible for driving fundraising and community engagement, and with the support of one direct report,  you will partner with a national team of community fundraising coordinators, managing the community fundraising portfolio to leverage current opportunities and relationships, as well as identify and develop any new opportunities across the nation. This role is both strategic and operational and will require great breadth of experience across the following (but not limited to), key areas:

  • Manage key stakeholder relationships (internally and externally)
  • Manage & grow established community fundraising and third party events
  • Design, develop & deliver multiple fundraising campaigns
  • Manage a high profile brand & messaging through online fundraising platforms and tools
  • Manage fundraising event compliance, policy and procedures
  • Support all event activity and recognition mechanism
  • Manage data capture
  • Engage and manage a reliable volunteer network & external suppliers/partners
  • Prepare and manage budgets, income & expenditure targets

Demonstrable experience managing a successful community fundraising practice, events and all the necessary support resources are essential, as is great drive and enthusiasm to continue to pro-actively identify, develop and build this area, both strategically and operationally. Proven experience in managing and delivering national events, community fundraising and partnerships is essential. Please also note that some exposure to consumer product development for retail distribution would be highly desirable, but this is not essential. Appropriate tertiary qualifications are preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience.
