The Community Transport Team is seeking a uniquely skilled individual to join us in a challenging multi-faceted role. We require an experienced bus driver who possesses administrative skills to support the Team Leader in the delivery of the City of Port Phillip Community Transport Service. We are looking for someone who can provide support to members of our community who need a helping hand to access Port Phillip.
The role will include driving the Community Bus and administrative duties relating to the Community Transport Service which includes Council's Hire Bus Service.
An 'Endorsed Medium Rigid Drivers Licence' is essential and experience working with older people and people with a disability is preferred.
To succeed in this role you will be a community minded person who has a good understanding of the value of providing community transport, particularly to people who are socially isolated, frail aged, from a cultural and linguistically diverse (CALD) background or have a disability.
The successful applicant is required to have:
- Endorsed Medium Rigid Drivers Licence
- Certificate III qualification in Home & Community Care (HACC), Aged Care or similar (preferred)
- Working with Children Check
- Demonstrated administrative skills (i.e. Word; Excel; Outlook)
