Job Purpose
To manage PWD’s Individual Advocacy Service (Mount Isa and Gulf Country Region) so as to ensure that it provides a high standard of service in accordance with the National Disability Service Standards.
The Individual Advocacy Service provides short-term, issue-based individual and group advocacy assistance for people with disability in QLD. It provides information, advice and referral services and intensive individual advocacy assistance. It is a cross-disability advocacy service primarily funded by the Commonwealth Government under the Disability Services Act, 1993 (Cth).
