This is an opportunity to join one of Australia’s most successful public interest and pro bono law organisations. Justice Connect is a not-for-profit organisation with a vision of a world that is fair and just; where rights are respected and advanced, laws are fairer, and systems are more accessible and accountable.
Justice Connect provides access to justice through pro bono legal services to people experiencing disadvantage and the community organisations that support them. We also address injustice through law reform, policy work and legal education.
Not-for-profit Law is Justice Connect’s specialist service providing free and low cost legal assistance to not-for-profit community organisations. We ‘help the helpers' by providing tailored legal information, advice and training. By relieving the burden of legal issues, these organisations can better focus their time and energy on achieving their mission - whether that's supporting vulnerable people, delivering community services, enhancing diversity or bringing together the community.
We are seeking two part-time Paralegals (approx. 0.60 FTE each) to support to the Not-for-profit Law team across Victoria and New South Wales, including assisting with answering and triaging enquiries from small not-for-profit organisations seeking legal assistance, file management, website and database oversight.
If you are interested in using your paralegal and administrative skills to make a difference for the not-for-profit sector, we look forward to hearing from you.
