We’re looking for a motivated, engaging and passionate individual who has experience in external stakeholder management with advanced administration skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries at any given time! Reporting to the South Australia State Manager this role will be primarily responsible for the planning, development and coordination of South Australia's Corporate Fundraising, Engagement, Marketing and Communications strategy and activities.

OzHarvest was founded by Ronni Kahn in 2004, who noticed the huge amount of delicious consumable food discarded every day. She decided there had to be a better way. OzHarvest now rescues surplus food to feed those in need all around Australia. We also educate the public and our clients about food waste, nutrition and living a healthier lifestyle.

Since Inception OzHarvest has achieved some great milestones:

  • Over 100 million meals delivered
  • Over 35,000 tonnes of food rescued
  • Over 1000 charities helped
  • $1 = 2 meals to those in need

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the South Australia State Manager on all aspects of corporate fundraising and engagement strategy that will lead to growth and impact
  • Manage, identify and create additional opportunities and activities for Corporate Volunteers to be involved in our work
  • Ensure that all client and volunteer data is accurately entered and managed within OzHarvest's CRM (Salesforce or similar)
  • Manage proactive communication strategies to help raise awareness and support for OzHarvest in South Australia
  • Support local PR for national campaigns, in line with national strategies and guidance
  • Recruit, coordinate, and supervise volunteers for OzHarvest Events
  • Motivate and successfully engage with volunteers, staff and other people to deliver on the volunteer engagements

To be successful in this role

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a client relationship role, business development, events, fundraising, marketing, communications or public relations
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Management, Events, Marketing, Communication or similar.
  • A strong commitment and enthusiasm towards the purpose of OzHarvest
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate, be persuasive, develop trust and maintain effective working relationships (established local networks is preferred)
  • Demonstrated capability in identifying and developing business, fundraising, marketing and communication plans, strategies and solutions
  • CRM expertise in Salesforce, KPI reporting, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel proficiency and Microsoft office
