The Role

The Program Design & Business Development Advisor will be responsible for supporting Oxfam country offices to design high quality programs, develop funding strategies and deliver against income targets. The role will mainly be targeting opportunities from DFAT, and will also be responsible for identifying new donors and opportunities to diversify the funding opportunities for Oxfam’s programs. 

The role involves building relationships and brokering agreements - often large-scale, complex and multi-stakeholder in nature - between Oxfam, institutional donors, other INGOs and private sector managing contractors.

A little about you (the key selection criteria)

  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience in the design and delivery of large scale, multi-stakeholder development and/ or humanitarian programs, including financial and risk management
  • Demonstrate experience in conceptualising and writing detailed, successful proposals to large scale institutional donors
  • Demonstrate excellent high level relationship development, public speaking and networking skills
  • Lead complex project teams across agency, geographical areas and affiliates
  • Demonstrate competency in building agency-wide capacity in business development techniques
