Nyaarla Projects specialises in the provision of Training and Employment, Youth Services and Education, Public Participation/Community Consultation and general consulting including reviews, funding submissions, business facilitation, feasibility studies and planning.
Residential Youth Workers are required to assist young indigenous people though an exciting phase of their life, as part of a new project in Fitzroy Crossing.
The Fitzroy Crossing Employment Related Accommodation (ERA) Facility is for young indigenous people from the Fitzroy Valley region, between the ages of 18 – 25, doing an Apprenticeship or Traineeship or other formal training, and who are employed.
We are seeking motivated people who work well within a team and have a strong “can do” focus to support these young people to succeed in education, training, work and life. To be successful in this position you must be committed, organised, have strong cultural, work and life values, and have a passion for working with people.
The position/s are flexible (full-time or part-time) for week days and weekend work with the requirement to stay overnight. The work roster is as follows:
- Sunday to Thursday nights 4pm to 9am
- Weekend Friday 4pm to Sun 4pm.
Experience working with Indigenous people / youth / organisations preferable.
