We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated graduate or junior entry level lawyer with a focus on enhancing the lives of our clients to join our legal team on a permanent full time basis working in our Katherine Office.

You will hold, or be eligible to obtain a practising certificate in the Northern Territory. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by one of the most senior practitioners with 30 plus years post admission experience and will be working alongside an enthusiastic and dynamic team, delivering services to North Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Service clients. 

You will have strong negotiation skills, well developed written and verbal communication skills, be able to work efficiently, both in a team and autonomously, and possess excellent time management and organisational skills. Additionally, you’ll have a sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture.

The successful candidate will be passionate about working with aboriginal people in a social services environment, providing best practice in family law and advocating for marginalised communities. Working collaboratively and developing rapport with a range of stakeholders including aboriginal people living in remote communities is required.
