The Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council (NTAHC) seeks applications from a motivated and experienced person to lead and coordinate our Aboriginal Sexual Health Program (ASH).
NTAHC is a non-government organisation providing a diverse range of services for the community which include:
- HIV and Hepatitis C Support
- Information and education
- A Needle and Syringe Program (NSP)
- Specialist Indigenous sexual health projects
- The Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP)
- Support of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities
The successful applicant will coordinate and supervise NTAHC's ASH team, comprising project officers, trainees and volunteers.
The ASH team develops, implements and evaluates health promotion, community development and staff education programs aimed at minimising sexually transmissible infections (STIs) and acute and chronic HIV / AIDS and blood borne virus infections amongst Aboriginal people in Northern Territory urban and remote communities.
