The Opportunity

The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, is the largest faculty at Monash University, and offers the most comprehensive suite of professional health training in Victoria. We consistently rank in the top 40 universities worldwide for clinical, pre-clinical and health sciences.

The research assistant will play a key role in the Implementing work-related Mental health guidelines in general Practice (IMPRovE) NHMRC Partnership trial. It aims to 1) implement evidence-based guidelines in general practice using peer-to-peer knowledge translation strategies; 2) improve outcomes for patients; 3) evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the knowledge translation strategy; and 4) create a plan for sustainability and national scale-up. The trial is funded through an NHMRC Partnership Grant and includes Beyond Blue and state and Commonwealth compensation schemes across Australia as partners.

Working within a team of six and reporting to the project manager the research assistant will support, monitor and contribute to the overall progress of the IMPRovE trial, and pursue related research under the direction of the project manager, leveraging off the expertise and established relationships with co-investigators and stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have an honours degree or PhD in a relevant discipline or have equivalent qualifications and experience.

This role is a part-time position.
