A position has become available for an innovative and dynamic Service Manager to join our new Adult Step Up Step Down (SUSD) Service located in Bundaberg QLD. This position is full time, working 38 hours per week on a fixed term contract until the end of June 2021.

The Adult SUSD provides a service to adults (18-64) who are experiencing mental ill health. This could be transitioning from a hospital setting back into the community, or to prevent a hospital admission from someone requiring extra support while already residing in the community. The service will accommodate 10 customers in a modern purpose built facility and is operated in partnership with the Wide Bay HHS

As part of the team at Mind you will:

  • Lead and deliver a high quality recovery oriented service in line with Minds Model of Recovery Oriented practice, policies and procedures.
  • Lead a high performance team to deliver a quality customer centred service
  • Work within an approved budget and ensure performance targets (KPI’s) are monitored and met.
  • Develop and maintain high quality internal and external relationships and partnerships.
  • Lead and promote a culture of continuous service improvement.
  • Demonstrate Leadership and be an active member of the Queensland Service Management Leadership Team.

You will bring the following skills to the role:

  • Strong Leadership and Management skills in the Mental Health, Youth, or Community Services Sector with an attention to customer service
  • Experience working within a recovery oriented framework
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude to the work while promoting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in managing a budget and meeting KPI’s.
  • Challenge yourself and others within the team
  • Innovate and think outside of the square.
