We are currently seeking a Community Mental Health Practitioner to assist with the development and implementation of strategies to improve the capacity of general practice and other Community Mental Health Practitioners to deliver appropriate services, increase awareness and understanding of initiatives to ‘close the gap’ in Indigenous health outcomes.

As part of the team at Mind you will:

  • Provide direct support to individual customers
  • Work with families and carers at the time of transition back to community
  • Support the delivery of group work programs
  • Assist the customer with accessing a range of local service providers

Skills & experience

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind
  • Must have experience working with Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander people
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
