The Marine Stewardship Council works to safeguard the world’s seafood supply by promoting the best environmental choice, and is recognized internationally as a ground breaking and credible solution to the serious environmental problem of overfishing.
Reporting to the Manager Australia and New Zealand, the Communication & Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of communications and marketing strategies for MSC in Australia and New Zealand. Utilising your creative and organisational skills, the post holder contributes to a diverse range of activities to promote the MSC’s mission and ensure successful delivery of the communications strategy. Responsible for growing the MSC’s media work, social media presence and events management in the ANZ, you will be a regular point of contact for members of journalists. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all MSC ANZ communications are targeted to meet audience needs, are produced to a high standard, and represent the MSC accurately and persuasively.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar or transferable role; experience of successfully interacting with media professionals; excellent verbal communication skills, especially the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and simply; and experience of writing, editing and proofreading articles and publications.
