About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting and empowering People with disability to live independently in the community. Your daily duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Supporting People with Disability to access and participate in the community
  • Assisting with domestic duties such as meal preparation, cleaning and other household tasks
  • Providing personal care support such as showering, toileting and personal grooming.
  • Medication administration
  • Adhering to individual plans, and working towards each clients goals

We have multiple casual positions available across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Short Term Accommodation & Assistance (Respite) programs in suburbs across the Penrith and Nepean Blue Mountains areas, including:

  • Hazelbrook
  • Faulconbridge
  • Springwood
  • Wentworth Falls
  • East Kurrajong

As our services are 24/7, candidates will ideally be available and willing to work across a range of shifts including active night shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting People with Disability and/or complex needs and a Certificate III in Disability, Community Services or similar is preferred
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to maintain clients privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability and willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster including weekends, nights and public holidays

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
