About the opportunity

Bring your energy, proven expertise and passion as an experienced Trusts & Foundations Manager to further develop the funding strategy for The Foundation. Shape a targeted engagement approach, grow and strengthen opportunities with our valued Trust and Foundation partners and make this opportunity your own!

The Trusts & Foundations Manager is an impactful position delivering value as the primary relationship manager for Trust and Foundation Partners. This will be a 12 month contract with a view to permanent.

You'll be making a real difference to people in our community, with the freedom to deliver and to seize funding opportunities using your judgement, drive and relationship skills. You’ll also have the backing of an enabling, passionate and achievement focused General Manager who will support your own drive and commitment to give your best within a collaborative and talented team.

Snapshot of key responsibilities

  • Strategy development and delivery for growing the value and income from Trusts and Foundations
  • Providing strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team on best possible funding partners for existing and upcoming programs and services
  • Writing and submitting grants and compelling proposals for support
  • Representing the Foundation as the primary relationship manager for T&F partners
  • Reporting progress and delivery on funding and Partner activity against plans

Requirements for success

  • *Genuine motivation and commitment for adding value in this type of opportunity
  • *An impressive track record of relevant achievements with clear evidence of consistently delivering and driving funding support in relevant responsible positions including in Not for Profit, working to expected professional standards/values and deadlines
  • *Proven experience in grant preparation, grant submissions and grant acquittals with strong written communication and reporting skills
  • *Proven productive relationship and opportunities management with funders. A credible ambassador to represent the Foundation, professional, personable and well presented with a positive, engaging approach
  • *Demonstrates strategic and commercial focus, with strong ability to turn strategy into practical delivery and results
  • *Teamwork ethic combined with high levels of personal ownership and a willing cheerful approach
  • *Flexibility and mobility to undertake business travel. Must have a clean drivers licence.
  • *Eligibility to work in Australia
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of FIA Code of Conduct/Standards of Fundraising
  • Effective planning, prioritisation and delivery skills
  • Cost / budget experience

  • Microsoft IT skills and ability to readily get up to speed with databases/new systems for grant management and reporting
  • Ability to adapt, thrive and deliver to changing business requirements in an evolving, customer focussed organisation aligned to organisational values
