Since 1933 the Law Council has represented State and Territory law societies, bar associations and their members at a national level, promoting the administration and access of justice, and improvement of law.

For this position the successful candidate will ideally have significant experience with legal policy development in Human Rights, Migration and Equality before the Law, and in working with members of the legal profession and external stakeholders. An interest in policy issues arising from legal practice or academic work in criminal law and/or human rights areas will also be favourably considered. 

The salary is $95,000 plus superannuation.
