About the role

Based in Sydney (CBD) or Newcastle, this role will apply understanding of regulatory and business changes to current and future impacts upon service delivery, then champion the necessary changes to data collection, classification and management practices to improve service delivery outcomes. The role supports the Manager, Evidence Based Programs Implementation to refine the outcome measures used to monitor client outcomes and implement the required changes across multiple levels of the business.

The position participates in the Information Stewards Council, and represents business stakeholders across all Life Without Barriers Client facing services[SL1]. The role contributes to the development of relevant data dictionaries, undertakes data analysis and provides accessible reports.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary level qualification;
  • Experience in data management within a large, complex and geographically diverse organisation, preferably in an organisation that has initiated or undergone Data led business transformations;
  • Demonstrated experience in the manipulation of data systems for report generation;
  • Experience in community services sector or relevant Government agencies and understanding of the objectives and service delivery methods in related human services;
  • Demonstrated experience in process and procedure development;
  • Demonstrated experience in database management;
  • Demonstrated written communication skills for the creation of reports, correspondence and other material;
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
  • Proficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
