Ironbark Sustainability is a specialist local government consultancy that works with councils around Australia by helping them reduce energy and water usage. Ironbark has been operating since 2005 and brings together decades of technical and financial analysis and project management experience in the areas of public lighting, renewable energy and sustainable buildings projects, policy and strategy support and broader sustainability projects.

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified person to take on the role of Western Sydney Sustainability Projects and Liaison Officer for 2-4 days per week based in Western Sydney. The position will require a person who can work independently, has lots of motivation, great communication skills and a strong desire to be part of a team that delivers real outcomes in the area of sustainability.

This role incorporates a Client Liaison role for existing projects as well as a Project Scoping role. These are outlined in more detail within the Position Description attached. Each of these roles relies heavily on good relationships and the ability to put the interests of the client councils first in assisting them in scoping and delivering real and useful projects. These projects will typically involve support to councils to improve sustainability outcomes, with a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy. Projects include the upgrading to LED street lights, sustainable buildings projects, policy and strategy support and broader sustainability projects.

Ironbark has an organisational culture that is open and encourages new and innovative ideas. Our 23 staff work closely and support each other as well as our clients, and we offer flexible working arrangements. If you are interested in being a part of a professional team committed to delivering quality projects, have an eye for innovation, and are dedicated to the continued development of strong partnerships with clients, then Ironbark is for you.
