The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Rostering Officer to provide high-level administrative support services of Rostering across the Community Solutions business unit.

With a strong focus on consumer engagement, the incumbent will be the designated point of contact to maintain effective communication with Independence Australia’s Disability Support Workers and consumers from an internal and external perspective.

We have 2 vacancies available; 1 x Full Time and 1 x 3 Months Fixed Term contract.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Previous experience in rostering and coordinating support services to people requiring direct support services.
  • Previous experience in supporting DSW’s and providing them with detailed advice and support to deliver shift tasks and programs within an appropriate support plan.
  • Proven experience in the use of an electronic consumer/staff management and rostering system e.g. Carelink+.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Individual Support Programs within the Disability services field.
  • Ability to establish a corporative approach towards consumer/participants and direct support workers, responsive to feedback, performance improvement and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience within a Call Centre environment (preferred).

Qualifications - Essential

  • Certificate III/IV in Disability, Community Services related discipline or equivalent.
