Information and Cultural Exchange (I.C.E.) is seeking a dynamic manager to lead our marketing and communications program. One of Australia’s most exciting community-based arts organisations Parramatta-based I.C.E. delivers excellence in creative engagement, cultural production, presentation (screen, music, digital, broadcast and performance) and training.

I.C.E.

I.C.E. is a Western Sydney community arts organisation working in the areas of cultural development and community engagement, screen culture, Youth music, digital technology and production, professional development and Arts training, and creatively-based social enterprise development.

I.C.E. works with Western Sydney’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities via multi-disciplinary/multi-platform programming, including:

  • Digital/screen-based and multi-media art and platforms
  • Music across a range of genres including Metal, Hardcore, Electronic, Pop
  • Performance and film events
  • Cultural tours
  • Digital storytelling
  • Publishing
  • Training and professional development for artists, producers and creatives
  • Arts-based social enterprise development
  • School-based programs.

Duties

Planning

  • Develop the I.C.E. Marketing/Communication Strategic Plan
  • Contribute to I.C.E. strategic planning and evaluation
  • Evaluate I.C.E. marketing/communication performance
  • Develop effective social media/online communications
  • Assist the preparation of funding proposals as required
  • Pursue/manage cross-promotional opportunities.

Marketing

  • Deliver/manage marketing and communication strategies (across print, TV, radio and digital)
  • Manage marketing/communication stakeholder relationships
  • Develop collateral, digital and promotional assets as required
  • Create/manage relevant contact and network database
  • Prepare/distribute I.C.E. marketing/communication collateral
  • Deliver a schedule of media opportunities re the I.C.E. program
  • Coordinate collateral design, production and distribution
  • Manage all media interactions and events
  • Maintain an accurate/up-to-date dropbox of media assets
  • Accompany staff/artists/community to media calls when required
  • Ensure consistency between print, social media/digital collateral.

Communication

  • Manage the review of I.C.E. social media and website
  • Ensure marketing/communication is supported through social media with appropriate hashtags, links, credits
  • Manage/edit all written marketing/communication collateral
  • Be the point of contact for marketing/communication
  • Represent I.C.E. at conferences/events as required.

Branding

  • Manage the review of I.C.E. branding
  • Create and manage the I.C.E. style guide
  • Oversee the design/use of marketing/communication visual materials (including photography, flyers, posters, invitations).

Other Duties

  • Monitor/acquit the approved marketing/communication budget
  • Keep accurate records of all media
  • Maintain library/archive of all graphic, photographic, audio and moving image materials
  • Attend Board, Producer and stakeholder meetings as required
  • Prepare Board reports/submissions as required.

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary digital marketing, communications degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in implementing and managing communication and marketing strategies
  • Ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government agencies, the philanthropic and corporate sectors and current I.C.E. donors
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and partnerships
  • Experience using WordPress or similar WYSIWYG website CMS, Google Analytics, Google AdWords CMS, Survey Monkey and Photoshop.
