Solar Citizens is an independent community organisation that aims to protect and grow solar and renewable energy for Australia. Working with local communities around the country, we run high-impact advocacy campaigns that ensure our nation’s clean energy revolution is accelerated and that people everywhere can harness the power of the sun.

We’re looking for dynamic and motivated people who have the initiative and drive to inspire and motivate our supporters and the broader community in target areas. On a two month fixed term contract you can help us make sure that solar and renewable energy is the #1 Election issue in 2016.

We're looking for organisers based in Brisbane, Sydney, Regional NSW, Adelaide and Tasmania.

You’ll report to the Director of Campaigns and Organising and be part of a creative, skilled, diverse and collaborative team that loves a people-powered win.

You’ll build strong local relationships with environmental organisations, the solar and renewable energy industry, politicians and other stakeholders.

You’re deeply committed to community organising and you’ve got demonstrated experience delivering high-impact campaign tactics - online and in communities - on time and within set budgets.

Clean energy is climbing higher on the national agenda and 2016 is shaping up to be a hard-fought year for renewables. With rapidly shifting strategic needs and strong community interest and engagement, this role is a unique opportunity to make a lasting contribution to Australia's renewable energy future. If you’re passionate about people power and making a clean energy future a reality for Australia, we want to hear from you.
