About the Position
This position requires a person who has qualifications and/or substantial experience in working with young people from diverse cultural and linguistic (CALD) backgrounds, holds a Social Science, Social Work, Community Development and/or demonstrated experience in the field.
- This position requires a person who has demonstrated experience in leading and managing a small team.
- The position requires a person who has demonstrated capacity to work cross-culturally and experience of working sensitively with young people and their parents/carers from CALD backgrounds.
- This position requires a person who has demonstrated capacity to recruit and engage volunteer mentors.
- This position requires a person who has knowledge of program management, coordination and evaluation.
- The Coordinator must be able to work in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Multicultural Centre for Mental Health and Well-Being Inc. - Harmony Place™ (HP) and within the structure of the organisation.
Desirable
- Understanding of Mental Health issues.
- Ability to speak in at least one community language, other than English.
- Current Australian drivers licence
