Hands Across the Water (HATW) are an Australian Charity supporting 5 children's homes across rural Thailand. See more at: https://handsacrossthewater.org.au/.

English is vital for these children to increase their self esteem, work opportunities and break the poverty cycle. To this end, a Hands English Curriculum has been developed, complete with text books, lesson plans, loads of fun resources, music and videos, tailored to the children's needs.

For 2018, Hands English are recruiting 4 full-time teacher/volunteers to:

  • Live at the Children's home and teach an after-school/weekend English program
  • Teach approximately 20 hours of English per week, for primary, high school & staff
  • Foster an English speaking environment around the home with children, staff and visitors
  • Join in and be part of the Thai community at the Home.

Seperate accommodation, with own ensuite, all meals and a generous living allowance are all provided. Face-to-face training and online support offered during the year. The Thai staff are very welcoming and will ensure you have a wonderful experience in their home.

For a truly rewarding experience and wonderful taste of Thai lifestyle, this is a great opportunity for any qualified teachers (ESL preferred) with a sense of adventure who want to make a real difference in the lives of others.
