Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative is in an exciting phase of growth. Our dedicated staff provide a range of quality holistic community health and social support programs principally to the Aboriginal community as well as other residents in Warrnambool, South West Victoria and outlying areas. Passionate about improving the health and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people? We are currently recruiting for a Prevention & Early Intervention Coordinator.  

Overview of the Position

This exciting new role within our Primary Health Care Services is responsible for implementing and coordinating prevention and intervention activities, and contributes to health promotion and the provision of care coordination, client support and mentoring. The role is a regional position, working with South West Aboriginal Health Partnership member organisations and involves travel in South West Victoria. Part-time 4 days / 30.4 hrs per week, days and hours of work negotiable.

  • Clinical experience or practice experience in a health setting
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Qualifications in nursing, health care or significant relevant work experience and training

The Benefits

Full-time equivalent base salary range is $70,000 - $77,000, according to qualifications and experience. Salary package includes 9.5% superannuation, attractive salary packaging benefits (salary package your home loan, car loan, superannuation etc.), annual leave loading  plus additional paid leave over Christmas / New Year. Warrnambool offers low cost living and affordable housing and is a well serviced regional hub of South West Victoria.
