Go Gentle Australia is looking for a digital content manager.

Go Gentle Australia, founded by Andrew Denton, is an expert advisory and advocacy group for a better conversation around death, dying and end of life choices, in particular voluntary assisted dying. Our campaigning efforts in Victoria last year provided critical assistance to those in the Victorian parliament who fought for and ultimately succeeded in the historic passing of Voluntary Assisted Dying legislation.

For this role we would expect you to

  • Manage content for social media, as well as newsletters and other digital communication
  • Look after our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn accounts
  • Work with external professionals to execute social media strategy
  • Build our lists and community
  • Turn data into meaningful reports

Ideally you are

  • Located in Sydney, with your own work space and tools of the trade
  • An experienced (political) campaigner (in the NFP space)
  • A digital specialist that understands Facebook, Twitter, audiences, look-alikes etc
  • Good friends with Facebook Business Manager
  • Familiar with NationBuilder
  • Blessed with some design skills and are able to create good visuals to accompany a wordy subject
  • Across the Voluntary Assisted Dying debate

Please note

This is not an easy subject matter and you may be confronted with experiences of dying, death and possibly suicide that can be challenging. Part of our strategy will involve publishing stories, a sample of which can be found on our Story Wall or by downloading a copy of our book The Damage Done.

Hours & Pay

This would be a part time role for 20 hours per week.

This role is an employed, part-time role for approx. $800 per week. However, the pay will be structured to include generous tax free allowances, likely resulting in a higher take-home pay.
