A unique opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join Goulburn Valley Health in the newly established role of Equity and Participation Co-ordinator. The role is designed to support GV Health’s commitment to providing services that are accessible and responsive to the diverse needs of the community we serve. Reporting to the Executive Director Community and Integrated Care, the position will oversee the design, delivery and evaluation of a range of equity, diversity and consumer participation plans, programs and initiatives across the organisation, and lead a small team of project and support staff.
The role is expected to demonstrate and foster a values based organisational culture that supports equity and participation principles and GV Health’s vision and values.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated skills and experience in community consultation, participation and engagement with diverse consumer and community groups, and have a well developed understanding of the policy, legislative and regulatory frameworks underpinning best practice approaches to equity, diversity, inclusion and consumer participation. Applicants should also possess excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks and work under minimal supervision.
