Job Description:

This is a diverse, fast paced, interesting and challenging opportunity with large amounts of autonomy and responsibility, working directly with the CEO and the Non Executive Board of Directors, ensuring GECA's organisational focus, deliverables and administration systems are effective in achieving our mission and successful in achieving agreed KPI’s including financial targets

The key accountabilities are:

  1. Manage GECA staff (40%) (4- 5 direct reports) and ensure deliverables are achieved aligned with the organisational strategy and KPI’s, in particular management of Sales, Administration, Marketing and Communications team
  2. Manage and oversee GECA operations (30%)-, including systems and records such as CRM and sharepoint/ shared filed system, auditing functions, customer and client service/ supplier requirements,IT, equipment and suppliers and other administrative functions including:
    1. Oversee the auditing provision and process with additional team member support
    2. Facilitate the licensing and certification sales pipeline through appropriate data entry, reporting andanalysis
    3. Attend to the Board of Directors requestsincludingpreparation of Board papers andfacilitateBoardmeetings and AGM including minute takingin support of CEO.
    4. Responsible for statutory reporting including ACNC/ ASIC/ ATO, risk in liaison with the CEO
  3. Risk & Financial reporting, including budget management (20%)- You will have KPI’s associated with deliverable targets including processing payroll, client invoicing and prompt receivables, cash flow management, managed supplier payments, create and manage budgets, process BASquarterlyand PAYGmonthly, lead pipeline reporting and financial reporting using MYOB and Excel.
    1. Highlight emerging and management of existing risks to CEO and Board Directors
    2. Management of insurance brokerage, Quality Management System and regular risk assessment including workplace health and safety, cyber security and others
    3. Ensuring workers compensation claims are dealt with in a timely manner and improvements to health and safety are developed.
    4. Working with external auditors for the GECA’s annual audit review including GEN audit.
  4. Client relations as required (10%)- Support top tier clients and support sales of large/ top tier companies for sales in claims and ecolabels and advisory as appropriate through the delivery of the following and in liaison with the Head of Engagement:
    1. Assist in events and logistics including staff events, annual general meetings, trade shows and training courses as required
    2. Speaking at external engagements as required

Other responsibilities include:

  • Training staff with computer programs, cyber security, CRM and cloud file systems and ensuring new processes/procedures are being adhered to
  • Identify issues and introduce new processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the office, with the aim of simplifying and reducing the time spent on administration for the team
  • Assisting staff with basic IT issues to reduce the expenditure on IT support
  • Creating staff contracts and onboarding of new staff members, in liaison with CEO who has Human Resources responsibility
  • Other duties as required
  • Adhoc duties as requested by CEO

Reporting Relationships

The General Manager reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
