Flat Out is a dynamic and innovative advocacy and support service for women 18+ (with and without children), who have been criminalised through the criminal justice and/or prison system in Victoria. Flat Out receives government funding and occasional project funds from various sources to enhance capacity to provide high quality, innovative and effective services and advocacy.

We primarily work with women experiencing the interconnection of criminalisation, homelessness and alcohol and other drug use.

Flat Out leads and participates in research and community education, seeking to inform the broader community and other service providers about the issues that occur for women in the criminal justice system. Through community involvement and education, advocacy and research, Flat Out maintains a strong voice in the prison abolition movement in Australia.
