Sunrise Health Service is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (Mental Health) to join their dedicated multidisciplinary team in Katherine, NT.

This position is responsible for providing mental health care and support to clients and their families, delivering a combination of clinical care and health promotion services throughout the Katherine region.

Your primary responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Delivering advanced mental health care for people of all ages across the region;
  • Facilitating better access to quality care for people with mental health related conditions;
  • Contributing to the case management, coordination and decision making for clients requiring mental health care; and
  • Providing advice to other members of the Primary Health Care (PHC) and Population Health Team regarding mental health.

The successful candidate must possess the following:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience delivering mental health services to individuals and groups
  • Previous experience working within a remote area / with Aboriginal communities
  • Understanding of, and culturally appropriate approach to, cross cultural issues
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change within a working environment
