About the Opportunity

First Nations Media Australia (FNMA) is looking for an energetic and inspiring General Manager (Indigenous Identified) to join their company in Alice Springs, NT on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the board, the General Manager will focus on the execution and development of FNMA's strategic plan and the overall strategic and operational responsibility for staff, stakeholder engagement, member services, industry events and projects, policy and advocacy.

Some of your responsibilities may include (but will not be limited to):

  • Providing regular written and verbal reports to the Board;
  • Updating policies and procedures and ensuring these are up to date and accurate;
  • Working with the Board, membership and staff on strategies for development and growth of the First Nations media industry;
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, industry partners, member organisations and practitioners;
  • Participating in broader policy development and representation of FNMA's interests and goals; and
  • Overseeing and guiding the delivery of all FNMA projects within budgets, timeframes and KPIs;
  • Advocating for new opportunities and projects that increase sustainability, impact, income and capacity of media and communications for members.

About the Benefits

For your hard work and dedication, you will receive an attractive salary circa $105,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with skills and experience) plus super.
