Our Story

We want to make equality real, and we know we’re not alone.

Co-Ground is an award-winning Not-For-Profit organisation and global community of change-makers. In Australia, we operate a range of social enterprises that build community and up-skill young people. 100% of the profits we generate support the education, health and livelihood projects developed by our community-driven teams in the Asia-Pacific.

The Opportunity

Co-Ground Coffee Carts is our newest social enterprise – coffee cart and catering services for events, functions, activations and pop-ups. We are seeking passionate and skilled people to join our growing team and help us take Baristas Without Borders to the next level.

This is an opportunity to use your hospitality experience in a completely new way! If successful, you will play a key role within a Melbourne based Not-For-Profit and work alongside industry leaders Five Senses, La Marzocco, and Nova Entertainment (our supportive partners). You will be responsible for mentoring a vibrant team of volunteers and together engage new audiences across Melbourne through speciality coffee, food and (sometimes) pop-up bar service. Did we mention you will have unlimited access to some of the best barista training courses to top-up your skills if desired!

  • Passionate about empowered communities and changing lives through improving education, health and livelihoods.
  • An interest in supporting a new social enterprise to reach its full potential

  • Comfortable coordinating a team of volunteers and providing on the job training where required
  • Well organised and comfortable coordinating the logistics of each booking (stocktake, transportation, bump-in, service delivery, bump-out, handover)
  • Work with our Bookings Manager / team to ensure quality service and consistency in products
  • Foster a fun and engaging culture within our team and form genuine relationships with our clients and their guests
  • Positively represent our organisation, communities, projects and the social enterprise sector
  • Excellent barista skills
  • Active full driver licence
  • Able to commit to 1-3 days per week for a minimum of 12 months (casual basis with potential for part time)
