Climate Positive is a not-for-profit, which works with businesses and households for real and long-term global warming solutions. Climate Positive works actively to provide tools to engage individuals and groups on global warming issues, to measure and reduce carbon footprints and to offset with high-quality projects.

Climate Positive is comprised of a team of professionals and includes a volunteer board of directors and specialist staff working in the areas of climate science, research, education, communication and business development.

This role will provide support and assistance in office related and administrative tasks consistent with our continuous quality improvement approach.

The 12 month role is at 4 days/week for 3 months. The role will be reviewed and it is likely it will be continued for 15 hours per week for the remainder of the contract period.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of the Business Development Plan;
  • Input and maintain relationship management and contacts database;
  • Assist with office maintenance including document management control, filing, stationery orders, postage and enquiry requests;
  • Undertake mail outs;
  • Assist with communication including input to social media sites;
  • Assist with upcoming events;
  • Utilise Microsoft Office programs to:
  • Create and update word documents
  • Gather and organise information using excel spreadsheets
  • Assist in the management of the database system, including data upkeep and archiving
  • Use PowerPoint to assist in the preparation of presentations.

Key Selection Criteria

Relevant qualifications and experience to demonstrate:

  • An ability to prioritise, organise and complete work within established deadlines, and maintain consistent level of professionalism;
  • Well developed skills and a good working knowledge of Excel and other spreadsheet tools;
  • Working knowledge and or experience in website administration and management;
  • Experience with social media (Face book and Twitter) is an advantage;
  • Demonstrated ability in document file management is an advantage;
  • Experience with File Maker Pro or related database and customer management systems is an advantage;
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high performing team;
  • Ability to contribute to safe, healthy and productive work environment;
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
