Child Wise, a social enterprise of Save the Children, is one of Australia's leading child safety organisations. With over 28 years of experience working with government, non-government and for-profit organisations, we deliver bespoke consulting, coaching, accreditation and training services to help organisations become child safe. We need you to make this new role your own. Bring your passion for child safeguarding and experience in training to ensure high service delivery across our national training.

Where you come in:

In this part-time, maximum term position (12 months) based in Carlton, you will oversee end to end training logistics including responding to and managing training enquiries, scheduling and managing a vibrant national training calendar. Hours are flexible from 20-25 per week, across 5 days and there is a possibility to increase hours to full-time as the business grows. You will be part of a small team, with one direct report, and report to our Executive Director.

You will make an impact by:

  • Reviewing current operational systems to ensure they are efficient and fit for purpose
  • Developing training proposals in response to enquiries, and upselling opportunities
  • Ensuring all trainers are briefed about their training obligations
  • Leading an effective team and managing staff performance
  • Liaising with Finance Business partner to track and manage operational budget

… You have experience in training, with an understanding of child safeguarding practices assisting you to deliver quality processes and high quality service delivery. Your highly developed organisational skills ensure you effectively manage Australian wide training enquiries and scheduling requirements. You are prepared to start off on a part time basis but are open to scale up your commitment as business increases.

This role requires:

  • Senior leadership and operational/logistics experience within large and complex environments
  • Demonstrated project management executive to time, budget and quality deliverables
  • Experience in managing audit and quality processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders
