Based in Alice Springs, The Central Land Council is seeking a dedicated and energetic individual who is interested in working with Aboriginal people to conduct research into the traditional ownership of, or Native Title to Aboriginal Lands ensuring compliance with the legislation. The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in Anthropology; have an understanding of Aboriginal society, strong cross cultural awareness, good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with traditional Aboriginal people and well-developed organisational skills and the capacity to work in a team. This position requires proficiency in the use and maintenance of specialised databases and is office work and remote travel in desert locations.

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
