Play a part in helping CHF's work to achieve safe, quality and timely healthcare for all Australians.

CHF members and wider networks reach thousands of Australian health consumers across a wide range of health interests and health system experiences. The Secretariat is responsible for developing CHF policy through consultation with members and stakeholders, ensuring that CHF maintains a broad, representative, health consumer perspective.

The Senior Policy Officer will join the small policy team working across the full range of health issues with the priorities for that work driven by the membership.

The Senior Policy Officer will take the lead on a number of key policy issues and undertake research, provide advice and contribute to the development of health policy positions including submissions, discussion papers and reports. They will take a leadership and coordination role on key thought leadership and other policy related CHF hosted round tables and high profile events engaging and communicating with consumers and CHF members to understand their issues, experiences and desired outcomes to reflect this in CHF’s evidence base.

We are a busy team, juggling competing demands and working to tight deadlines. We are looking for someone with at least three years experience working in a policy and advocacy role who is now interested in playing a part in influencing and shaping health policy from a consumer perspective. If you are up for the challenge we would like to hear from you.
