About the role

We are looking for a Health Promotions Officer to join our team.

The core focus of this Health Promotion role is to lead the Congress Young Women's Community Health Education Program Educational Package through engaging, liaising & consulting with members of the target group (young females 10-25yrs), cultural consultants, Congress Staff, relevant related service providers & community stakeholders. Under the direction of the Tobacco Health Promotion Manager this position will be required to establish & maintain links with schools, youth centres, community groups & relevant youth & health organisations in order to provide regular holistic sexual health education sessions to young Aboriginal females between the ages of 10 - 25yrs. The Health Promotion Officer is also responsible for the delivery of the female equivalent YMCHEP Educator Training Course & the development of female appropriate educational materials to be used by female educators & trainers as teaching tools.
