This start up not-for-profit company and membership body has been in place since 2009. Going from strength to strength they are now looking to grow the team to support this demand. Funded by the Government their aim is to assist in developing a sustainable, vibrant and prosperous Indigenous enterprise sector here in Australia.

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, the position of Certification Coordinator will manage projects associated with the acquisition and retention of suppliers. This position will also coach a growing team of Certification Specialists and will quality control all processes and responsibilities of the Partnerships Team. A significant amount of reporting, both data and text, will be required.

This is a national role, where you will coordinate the work of interstate employees so flexibility is essential. The core business team is small but growing and the culture within the organisation is open, collaborative and hard working.

Responsibilities for the Membership Assessor / Certification Specialist:

  • Develop and run team performance reports
  • Manage a national team of Certification Specialists
  • Oversee the Quality Assurance of the team’s work
  • Conduct spot audits of work in the Partnerships team
  • Assist with developing team policy and processes
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with other team members
  • Promote the organisation’s certification program amongst the Indigenous business community.

Your attributes and experience:

  • Project Management
  • Experience of assisting a team to meet their goals
  • Experience in supervising and coaching staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Indigenous societies, cultures and issues affecting Indigenous Australians in business
  • An investigative mind that doesn’t take information at face value & have no hesitation asking difficult questions.
  • Ability to oversee the Quality Assurance of a team’s work
  • Process driven with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence
