About the role

The Senior Community Development Officer is responsible for implementing innovative solutions by delivering ADF programs and projects to local communities. These platforms are aimed to build community resilience, strengthen and build capacity that reduce the impact of alcohol and other drug related harm.

To achieve this you will:

  • Be motivated to engage in a results focussed environment
  • Deliver innovative ADF programs, utilising a range of delivery methods within the community
  • Create and follow up on new leads in a committed, energetic and connected manner
  • Value and deliver health promotion, have a strong understanding of alcohol and other drugs through evidence-based research and data
  • Navigate different scenarios with complex stakeholders and groups across a range of different organisations
  • Be able to manage and drive sensitive meetings
  • Be tech savvy, being able to apply a range of available technological formats to deliver program services efficiently and to expected quality standards
  • Support the delivery of regional forums, promote and represent the ADF and its programs and initiatives
  • Promote and support the ADFs programs, exploring opportunities relating to partnership building, capacity building, and the engagement of sporting clubs and communities

Please note: Due to the location of communities and sporting clubs it is likely that some travel will be required.

  • Would suit someone who has a solid understanding of influence and development in a community sports setting.
