As the largest peak Indigenous organisation in Australia, the Northern Land Council (NLC) provides a family-friendly and flexible team environment with attractive remuneration packages, five weeks annual leave, district allowance, super, salary sacrifice, airfares and other entitlements.

With significant investment and redevelopment planned for Jabiru, the town at the heart of Kakadu National Park, just 2.5 hours from Darwin, NLC is seeking an experienced manager to join our West Arnhem regional office to effectively manage an array of exciting multi-disciplinary projects and programs.

The Regional Manager position will be responsible for supporting the strategic objectives of the NLC through the effective management of projects and programs in the Greater West Arnhem Region, including the ongoing management of staff within both the Jabiru Regional Office, a key NLC service hub, as well as the Maningrida Office.

The successful applicant will possess high-level leadership and management experience in successfully implementing projects and programs, with the ability to strategically harness resources to effectively plan, coordinate and manage activities, balance competing priorities and deliver a positive outcome.

Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are required to effectively liaise, engage and manage a multi-disciplinary team in a diverse and complex work environment, and to build and foster productive working relationships with work colleagues, constituents and external stakeholders.

Tertiary qualifications in either project management or community development, and/or extensive multi-disciplinary industry experience consulting and working with Aboriginal communities on cultural, land and resource management activities and projects, are desirable.

Possession of a current Northern Territory Driver’s licence and a willingness to travel to and within remote areas is required.
