In Tewantin and Meridan Plains we support up to four adults in each accommodation service. As a Support Worker you are directly responsible for the day to day support, personal care and personal development of our customers. You will provide a range of community living services to assist active involvement in their local community as per each individual’s choice, be valued, respected and engaged in meaningful opportunities and relationships.

To become part of the team here at Aruma we are looking for people who:

  • Have experience in the disability sector or a genuine interest working in the disability field.
  • Have the ability to support others with personal care and domestic duties in a respectful manner.
  • Accessing your local community and outdoor activities and have a capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks.
  • Available to work on a rotating flexible roster, which may include a combination of shifts including days, afternoons, active nights, sleepovers and weekend shifts.
  • Good communication (verbal and written).
  • Good computer knowledge.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Current Drivers Licence and willingness to use own vehicle (if required) with comprehensive insurance.
