The Arid Lands Environment Centre seeks a highly motivated person or persons to coordinate, implement and further develop the desertSMART COOLmob program in Alice Springs.
The position has two main roles. Candidates are invited to apply for either one of the roles (3 days per week), or both roles combined in a full time position.
The Program Management role will supervise project implementation and focus on strategically positioning COOLmob to secure new opportunities arising from climate change policies. Major tasks will include project management, writing funding proposals, applying for tenders, partnership building, networking and reporting.
The Project Officer role will focus on delivery of a broad range of activities promoting sustainable living in the arid zone. These include coordination of the water auditing program, sustainable living workshops, open house days, member newsletters and environmental events.
