Animals Australia works tirelessly to protect the most abused and defenseless animals in our society. Our award winning national campaigns and unique investigative work have awakened millions to the cruel practices of factory farming, live animal export and live baiting in the greyhound industry, while pressuring industry and government to take much needed action. Each victory for animals is underpinned by a strong and proactive supporter base.

The Role

Animals Australia is looking for a Campaign Manager to join our dynamic and power packed team. In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of Animals Australia’s campaigns – from strategy to analysis. Like a well oiled machine, our campaigns need to run efficiently and effectively to optimise the greatest outcome for animals.

Skills Required:

Strategy. Collaboration. Project management. Stakeholders. It reads like a boardroom bingo card, but let's face it, this is where it's at and this is where you excel. Using your exquisite networking and project management skills, and in collaboration with highly talented team members, it is your role to ensure ongoing momentum and growth to those campaigns that have put Animals Australia at the forefront of the Australian animal movement.

With boosted levels of initiative, we are looking for someone who has previous experience in developing and implementing successful public awareness campaigns. You bring to the table a vast array of knowledge and experience with strategic campaigning and communication tools. Insightful and naturally analytical, your proactive nature affords you the ability to critically analyse each step in the campaign process so to identify and create the best opportunities to raise awareness with respect to the treatment and welfare of our animal friends.

A knowledge of animal advocacy areas relevant and significant to Animals Australia, whilst not a pre-requisite to the role, will assist you in hitting the ground running. More importantly though, is your ability to harness the different ways social movements can bring about change and how these different mechanisms can help animals in need. You evaluate your own success as a campaign manager by ensuring that outcomes are linked back to clearly defined objectives, campaign budgets and project completion.

Flexible in your nature, you successfully demonstrate your true understanding and commitment to the objectives and values of Animals Australia, whilst working collaboratively in a small, diverse and extremely busy team environment with minimal supervision. We certainly punch above our weight here at Animals Australia, and with multiple campaigns running concurrently, it is important for the successful incumbent to be able to determine priorities.

So, if you want to add your voice, to our voice, and speak up for the voiceless, then we'd love to hear from you.

What can Animals Australia offer you:

Aside from the opportunity to bring about real change for animals, we offer:

  • A fun, but hard working environment
  • Discounted private health care membership
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Companion Animal Compassionate Leave
  • Funky, fantastic office in very convenient location
  • And of course, the opportunity to create a kinder world for ALL
