Amnesty International Australia currently has a small number of exciting part-time unpaid casework internship and volunteer opportunities in our Sydney Action Centre in Chippendale, Sydney.

Casework Interns and Volunteers play a critical role in helping Amnesty International Australia respond to requests for assistance and reports of human rights concerns in Australia and around the world.

Applications are now open for a Refugee Casework Intern or Volunteer.

Internships can only be offered if completed as part of a university program. If this placement will not be completed as part of a university program, a volunteer placement will be offered to successful candidates. All casework internship/volunteer placements are unpaid.

Casework internships/volunteer placements run for seven months in total (six months plus a two week induction and a two week exit handover) from 15 January 2018 to 17 August 2018 (inclusive). Caseworkers generally need to be able to commit to working three days per week for the duration of the placement.

Regular training and professional development opportunities will be offered throughout the placement.
