About the role

Reporting to the Board, you will develop and execute a refreshed strategy with a focus on sustainability by:

  • Connecting stakeholders with our mission/vision/purpose
  • Demonstrating sector leadership and collaboration for positive outcomes for women and their children
  • Leading a team to strengthen organisational capability, sector and client led practice and a safe, respectful positive work and service culture
  • Enhancing services to clients in line with our mission and values and the Northern Territory's Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Reduction Framework (2018-2028)
  • Diversifying the organisations revenue streams to contribute to long term independence and sustainability
  • Develop and implement a business model to support the long term financial sustainability of the organisation
  • Advocating on behalf of all women and children to be entitled to be safe, independent and valued.
  • Developing relationships and personal credibility with external stakeholders

Skills and experience

Two or more of the following qualifications would be essential:

  • Bachelor of Social Work/ Social Science
  • Bachelor of Community Services
  • Bachelor of Business Management
  • Post Grad - any discipline
  • Significant experience (at least 4-5 years) working, achieving and leading high performing teams.
  • You will need to have passion and vision to implement a new refreshed strategy ensuring alignment with short- and long-term objectives
  • Develop and implement a business model to support long term sustainability
  • Extensive knowledge of multicultural and cross-cultural issues
  • Well-developed understanding of Aboriginal and other ethic cultures (CALD) and the ability and knowledge to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures
  • Oversee the financial management of the organisation
  • Provide high level reporting to the board, government department
  • Lead and motivate a high performing team
