With the aims of serving and improving the lives of psychiatric survivors in Fiji, the Psychiatric Survivors Association (PSA) promotes mental health awareness and inclusion and combats discrimination.  The Association is a community based self-help advocacy group that is staffed by volunteers.

The PSA is now seeking to appoint a volunteer to work alongside the President, Executive and membership to establish core institutional programs in the areas of social, recreational, vocational training and economic development and build the confidence and capacity of its members.

The suitable applicant will be able to demonstrate a background working with people with mental illness and experience in social and recreational project design and implementation.

Experience in capacity development in a developing country will be well regarded and you will be able to demonstrate an ability to cope with cultural isolation and a different standard of living.
