If you are an energetic, passionate individual with a background in project coordination and would enjoy working in an arts environment along with working on numerous tasks simultaneously then this 24 month assignment could be of interest.
Based in Johannesberg, the Lefika La Phodiso: Art Therapy Centre provides community art counselling training and intervention to vulnerable children, caregivers, educators and other service providers. The centre has in the past implemented a wide range of projects and what is now required is a skilled person to assist with the day to day coordination of new projects and the related administration.
To be considered for this rewarding assignment, you would require skills and experience which include the following:
- Experience with financial management, preferably within a project environment
- Previous experience using MS Access/Excel or another statistical package
- Demonstrated success in building the skills of others through formal and/or informal training and coaching
- Successful results in a range of projects and environments in communications and outreach, including leading or contributing to the full project cycle – project management, monitoring and evaluation
- Record of success in taking the lead, working on numerous tasks simultaneously, and meeting deadlines.
The organisation is located in Parktown, a suburb in Johannesburg. The organisation will provide Garden cottage in Parkview Johannesburg. It is a well established safe upmarket neighbourhood with adequate security.
