ABAAD is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious civil association that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD seeks to promote women’s equality and participation through policy development, legal reform, Gender mainstreaming, engaging men, eliminating discrimination, and advancing and empowering women to participate effectively and fully in their communities. ABAAD also seeks to support and collaborate with civil society organisations that are involved in gender equality programs and advocacy campaigns.
ABAAD targets all men and women in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through different types of initiatives promoting Gender Equality from awareness raising, capacity building trainings, workshops, and direct psycho-social services.
ABAAD’s current initiatives are working with a number of beneficiary groups throughout Lebanon including Local NGO’s that provide services to Iraqi and Palestinian refugees. ABAAD now seeks to appoint a committed monitoring and evaluation specialist to contribute to the sustainability of the work and services of ABAAD through the design and implementation of M&E plans.
To be considered for this position, you will require:
- Relevant degree in Human Sciences, Public Health, Statistics or Social Reform
- Demonstrated success in building the skills of others through formal and/or informal training and coaching
- Proven ability and significant experience in designing and/or implementing M&E systems.
- Demonstrated ability in building the skills of others in M&E through training and/or mentoring
Personal attributes must include the ability to cope with cultural isolation, a willingness to learn the local language and a good understanding and appreciation of the Lebanese lifestyle.
