Work at grassroots level within the Women's Affairs Division, Kiribati and be both challenged and rewarded.
This foundation-setting role requires a person with proven skills and experience in establishing systems and procedures in the workplace, preferably within an NGO environment. The end result will ensure the Women’s Development Division of the Ministry of Internal and Social Affairs is a functional division within government.
Supporting this, the volunteer will also look to build staff capacity to ensure they can run the division effectively under the systems and procedures established.
To be successful in this assignment you will need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Proven experience setting up a government division or NGO network
- Experience working in women's development
- Demonstrated stakeholder relationship management skills
- An understanding of the issues that affect women and their families
- Ability to build staff capacity through training.
This 12 month assignment is based in Bairiki on the island of Tarawa, Kiribati.
